Socialplace Privacy Policy

Updated Date: Jul 30, 2025, 12:00 AM

This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) explains how Socialplace (“we,” “us,” and/or “our”), a digital product owned and operated by SSOR Social, collects, uses, and discloses information from individuals (“you” and/or “your”) who access and use our online community, mobile application, or any related web-based service (collectively, the “Community”). By accessing the Community, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.

We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of the policy and, in some cases, we may provide additional notice (for example, via email or platform alert) if changes materially alter how we handle your data.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy regularly to stay informed about our information practices and the choices available to you. B

By accessing or using the Community, you also agree to our Terms & Conditions and Refund & Cancellation Policy, which govern your use of the services, products, and community content.

Personal Information We Collect

Personal Information You Provide to Us

Registration and Profile Information. When you open an account with us through the Community (“Account”), we may ask you to provide identifiers and contact information such as your name, email address, date of birth, and any other personal or demographic information you choose to provide. This information is essential to verify your identity, administer your membership, and provide you with a personalised experience within the Community.

Communications. We may collect additional identifiers such as your name and email address, and any other information you choose to provide, when you participate in interactive features of the Community. This includes but is not limited to messaging us through the platform, submitting forms, publishing posts or comments, participating in contests or promotions, communicating via third-party platforms (e.g. Instagram, WhatsApp), requesting support, or otherwise initiating communication. When you communicate with other members via direct messaging within the Community (hosted by Circle), we and our third-party platform providers may receive the content and metadata of those communications, such as timestamps and delivery records.

Content. We collect any content, media, or other material you post within the Community, including but not limited to comments, blog contributions, discussion threads, profile content, or any uploaded material. This content may be visible to other members depending on your privacy settings and platform design.

Payment Information. If you make a purchase through the Community, including membership fees or digital products, your financial information (such as credit card numbers or billing address) is collected and processed on our behalf by third-party providers such as Stripe. We do not store or directly handle your payment credentials.

Personal Information Collected Automatically Through the Community

When you access or use the Community, we and our authorised third-party partners may automatically collect certain technical and usage information relating to your activity and device, including:

Device Identifiers. These may include your IP address, mobile device ID, browser user agent, internet service provider, operating system, and temporary or persistent unique identifiers such as UDID. These identifiers are used to ensure secure access, prevent fraud, and customise your experience on the platform.

Internet or Other Electronic Network Activity Information. We and our partners may collect behavioural information including browsing history, device characteristics, referring URLs, pages viewed, links clicked, session duration, mouse movement, keystrokes, and engagement data with content and features. This information may also include the location from which you accessed the Community, the time spent on specific pages, and interactions with checkout or subscription forms. In some instances, we may use screen recording tools or event tracking software to monitor and analyse user interaction, optimise usability, and ensure compliance with platform rules.

Geolocation Information. Based on your IP address or billing information, we may derive your approximate location. In some cases, your location may be inferred from GPS or device data with your consent. You can disable precise geolocation collection through your device settings; however, certain features may become limited.

Information from Cookies and Similar Technologies. We and our third-party partners (including Google Analytics and Circle) use cookies, tracking pixels, web beacons, and other identifiers to collect information about your activity over time and across services. Cookies are small data files that help recognise your browser and deliver customised content. We may use both session cookies (which expire when your browser is closed) and persistent cookies (which remain until manually deleted or expired). You may opt to disable cookies via your browser settings; however, certain parts of the Community may no longer function properly.

Personal Information Collected from Third Parties

Information from Third-Party Sources. When you interact with the Community or its members via connected third-party services (such as logging in with social media accounts or linking your profile), we may receive data such as your name, profile image, platform ID, followers/friends list, and other publicly accessible or consented information. We may also collect content or behavioural data from integrated marketing services, analytics providers, or customer engagement tools. This information may be used to enrich your profile, recommend content, or personalise your experience.

Disclosure of Information

We may share personal data with the following categories of recipients:

Circle (Community Host). The Community operates on Circle’s platform, meaning CircleCo, Inc. may access your data to deliver core functionality and support services in accordance with their own privacy policy.

Partners, Vendors, and Affiliates. We may disclose information to service providers or contractors who perform tasks on our behalf such as customer management, analytics, payment processing, content hosting, marketing operations, or IT support. Examples include Stripe, Google, Meta Platforms, Vimeo, Loom, Canva, and our internal CRM system.

Other Community Members. Information you post within the Community may be visible to other users. This includes forum replies, comments, and profile elements. Please exercise caution when sharing information publicly. We are not responsible for unauthorised redistribution by other members. Please note, we are not responsible for how other users may interpret, share, or misuse the content you voluntarily post or message within the platform.

Analytics Providers. We use tools such as Google Analytics and Circle’s internal reporting to track platform performance and user engagement. These tools may collect cross-site behavioural data.

Legal Compliance and Law Enforcement. We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or valid legal process, or to protect our legal rights, defend against legal claims, or cooperate with investigations of fraud, misconduct, or public risk.

Business Transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, asset sale, or reorganisation, your data may be transferred or disclosed as part of the transition process.

With Consent. Where applicable, we may share your data with third parties at your request or with your consent.

Security

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect your information. This includes encrypted traffic (HTTPS), secure cloud storage, restricted access policies, and audit logging. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is fully secure. We cannot guarantee absolute protection and advise you to use strong passwords and remain cautious with personal information.

Data Transfers and International Hosting

The Community is hosted primarily by Circle in the United States and may also store or process data in the EU or other regions. By using the Community from outside the U.S., including from the United Kingdom, you consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your data in jurisdictions that may not offer the same data protection as your home country. Where applicable, data transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other legally recognised safeguards.

User Content and Community Interactions

By engaging within the Socialplace platform, you acknowledge that content you share — including testimonials, success stories, written messages, screenshots, or appearances on video calls — may be used by SSOR Social for future marketing, promotional, editorial, or educational purposes. We are not responsible for any content, data, or personal information you voluntarily share inside the Socialplace platform, including in group posts, chat threads, or direct messages. We may use this content publicly or privately, with or without attribution, and without additional notice or compensation. This usage is permitted in line with our legitimate business interests and your continued use of the platform constitutes consent.
